Who is responsible for your data

Lawve AI is operated by Baguette Dynamics, which is responsible for the personal data described in this policy. For privacy questions or requests, contact contact@lawve.ai.

Data we collect

Depending on how you use Lawve, we may collect:

  • Account and profile data — your email address, password hash or OAuth identifiers, name, avatar, biography, LinkedIn URL, location, expertise, and professional experience.
  • Organization and content data — memberships, invitations, resources, files, posts, media, reviews, and messages you submit through the platform.
  • Activity and technical data — follows, favorites, views, downloads, and operational request logs. For anonymous view and download deduplication, Lawve processes the visitor’s IP address and user-agent and stores only a keyed hash in the activity record.

An administrator may create an unclaimed professional profile before its owner joins Lawve. In that case, the information may come from the person who supplied it or from public professional sources. The profile can later be claimed, corrected, or removed.

How we use your data

We use personal data only as needed to:

  • create and secure accounts, provide the hub, and manage profiles, organizations, and published resources;
  • send verification, invitation, and other service-related messages;
  • moderate submissions, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, and improve the service; and
  • comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes.

These activities rely on performance of our agreement with you, our legitimate interests in operating and protecting Lawve, compliance with legal obligations, or your consent where we ask for it. Required account and profile information is necessary to provide the corresponding features.

Public information

Lawve is a public knowledge hub. Public profiles, organization profiles, published resources, posts, reviews, and related author information can be viewed and shared by anyone. Do not publish confidential client information or personal data that you are not authorized to disclose.

Service providers

We do not sell personal data. We currently use:

  • Scaleway for application hosting, databases, and file storage in France;
  • OVHcloud for transactional email delivery; and
  • Google and LinkedIn when you choose to sign in through their OAuth services.

Providers receive only the data needed to perform their services.

Browser storage and analytics

Lawve uses essential browser storage for authentication, email verification, OAuth security, and interface preferences. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party product analytics.

How long we keep data

Account, profile, and content data is generally kept while your account is active. We may retain information afterwards when necessary to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, protect the service, or preserve the integrity of public contributions. Technical logs are kept only as long as reasonably necessary for security and operations. Deletion from backups may take until the normal backup cycle completes.

Security

We use encrypted connections, access controls, hashed passwords, and restricted infrastructure access to protect personal data. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we review our safeguards as the platform evolves.

Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or portability of your personal data. You may also object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent at any time where processing relies on consent. Send requests to contact@lawve.ai. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Lawve evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a revised update date.
