FAQ
Everything you need to know about agent tools for legal professionals.
Agent Skills are organized collections of files that package composable procedural knowledge for AI agents, helping general-purpose agents execute work consistently with domain-expert guidance. Their simplicity is deliberate: a Skill is just a folder that a human or agent can create, inspect, version in Git, store in Google Drive, zip, and share. This file-based format works with tools teams already use and keeps expertise portable rather than locked into one platform.
Open a Skill page to review its instructions, included files, license, and security audit. Download it, then follow the platform-specific installation steps on the page to import it into Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or another compatible agent. Once installed, give the agent a relevant task or ask it to use the Skill; it can load the packaged instructions and resources when needed. Because a Skill is made of files, you can inspect, adapt, and version it before using it.
Public Skills on Lawve are free to browse and download. What you may do with a Skill is determined by the license chosen by its author: permissive open-source licenses generally allow use, modification, and redistribution subject to their terms, while proprietary licenses may impose additional restrictions. Check the license shown on the Skill page before using it, particularly for commercial or client work.
Every Skill submitted for public listing is evaluated with the Lawve Skill Security Auditor and reviewed before publication. The audit examines its files for malware and agent-specific risks, including prompt injection, hidden instructions, unsafe scripts, credential exposure, data exfiltration, and unauthorized network access. Only Skills that pass are listed; failed submissions are rejected with findings the author can address.
